As of January 1, 2022, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance (or who are not using insurance) an estimate of the bill for health items and services. At Overbrook Counseling, you pay per appointment. However your total cost of services will depend upon the number of therapy sessions you attend. It is difficult to determine the true length or frequency of treatment for mental health care, and each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate. Please let us know if you receive a bill that is more than the Good Faith Estimate. We will attempt to resolve this in a timely manner. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
